Fall Workshop – October 2026

Mizuhiki Loops!
Sunday October 25, 2026

Join us and learn how to create a variety of Mizuhiki (Japanese paper cord) Loops to embellish and decorate your original handmade cards!  Traditional mizuhiki knots (i.e. Awaji, Ume), and origami folds such as the tsuru (crane), are often adorned with these loops.  The loops can also be used on their own to decorate your project.  We will explore how to create, design and arrange the loops using the materials provided in the class kit.  Also, a decorative version of the Awaji knot will be shown.  (Please note:  Instruction for the origami folds will not be covered during the workshop.)

Please register by Sunday October 11, 2025 to receive the kit in time.  A recording of the class will be sent via email to all those registered, so you will have the choice to learn at your own pace if unable to join the day of the class.  The class kit will be mailed via USPS about two weeks before the workshop, and an email with the ZOOM link and other information, a week before the event.  All levels and experience are welcome.  We hope you will be able to join us!
